The Islamabad court sentenced Imran Khan to three years in prison in the Tosha Khana case, after which the Chairman PTI has been arrested from Lahore. Judge Humayun Dilawar of the District and Sessions Court of Islamabad heard the Tosha Khana case in which the court had today summoned Chairman PTI Imran Khan in a personal capacity.

At the beginning of the hearing, Judge Humayun Dilawar inquired whether any lawyer had come on behalf of PTI. The Tosha Khana case was called several times by the judge.

When no one appeared on behalf of PTI, the judge asked Amjad Pervez, the lawyer of the Election Commission, whether he would say anything. Recite some poetry.

Hearing of the case

Later, when the hearing of the case resumed, PTI’s lawyer Khalid Yusuf appeared in the court and told that Khawaja Haris accountability court is present, some time is needed.

Amjad Parvez, the lawyer of the Election Commission, said that not only Khawaja Haris but Chairman PTI was also asked to attend today.

When Khawaja Haris did not appear, the court asked to pronounce the verdict

Judge Humayun Dalhaur asked PTI’s lawyer that when PTI chairman will come to the court? On this Khalid Yusuf said that Khawaja Haris will come to the session court and will tell the same details.

Judge Humayun Dilawar said, “Tell me the name of the case in which Khawaja Haris is busy. On this, the lawyer said that Khawaja Haris is busy in the bail case of Chairman PTI and Bushra Bibi. He will come to the court free of charge.”

On this, Election Commission’s lawyer Amjad Pervez said that someone told me that the matter of the case in the accountability court is at 2:30.

Judge Humayun Dilawar said that if Khawaja Haris does not appear till late at night, then what will happen? Sessions court had called Khawaja Haris at 8:30.

The judge said that in the light of the decision of the Islamabad High Court, an adjournment is made till 12 o’clock.

Hearing after the third recess

The hearing of the Tosha Khana case in the Sessions Court started after the third break, then the lawyers of the Election Commission appeared in the court, Judge Humayun Dilawar asked if anyone appeared or not?

The court said that even in the fourth hearing, Khawaja Haris did not appear in the court, I reserve the decision, I will pronounce it at 12:30.

However, chairman PTI’s lawyer Naeem Panjotha reached the district court after which Khawaja Haris also reached the court after a while.

When the hearing of the case started, Khawaja Haris said, “Am I allowed to say something?” I am filing a transfer application against you.

Court decision

On this, Judge Humayun Dilawar said that in the Tosha Khana case, the allegations against Chairman PTI are proved, the charge of disclosing false assets is proved against him, the request for admissibility is rejected.

The court sentenced Tehreek-e-Insaf Chairman Imran Khan to three years in prison and also imposed a fine of one lakh rupees.

The court has said in its decision that if Imran Khan does not pay a fine of Rs.100,000/=

Judge Humayun Dilawar while pronouncing the verdict said that the arrest warrant of Chairman PTI is issued in the case.

Tehreek-e-Insaf Chairman arrested

Police has arrested Tehreek-e-Insaf Chairman Imran Khan from Lahore after the order of the session court in the Tosha Khana case.

When did the Tosha Khana case happen?

Imran Khan is accused of getting valuable gifts from foreign countries at a low price during his tenure as Prime Minister from 2018 to 2022 and then selling these gifts for 635,000 dollars.

Imran Khan’s gifts include a valuable watch from Saudi Arabia, which has a model of Kaaba and is estimated to be worth Rs 60-65 crore in the international market.

The Election Commission of Pakistan said on October 21, 2022 that former Prime Minister Imran Khan made false statements regarding the gifts and assets of Tosha Khana under Article 63 (1) of the Constitution.

Apart from this, a petition was also filed by the Election Watchdog in the Sessions Court requesting to initiate criminal proceedings against the Chairman PTI.

On May 10, 2023, the trial court indicted Imran Khan for providing false information in the Tosha Khana case, but on July 4, the Islamabad High Court annulled the order of the Sessions Court and ordered the petitioner to be heard and given a decision within 7 days. Directed.

On August 4, the Islamabad High Court annulled the decision of the Sessions Court regarding the Tosha Khana criminal case and directed the judge to re-judge the case against the petitioner on August 5. Khan was sentenced to three years imprisonment and a fine of Rs. 100,000/=
