A landmark Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between the University of Liberland (UoL) and Ascendria University (AU) during the “Democracy and Human Rights: The Guiding Vision of Quaid-i-Azam” event, organized by the Human Rights Council of Pakistan at Islamabad University.
The agreement, signed by H.E. Faisal Butt, Ambassador at Large of the Republic of Liberland to Pakistan and Nepal, representing UoL, and Mr. Jamshed Hussain, Chairman of HRCP and Founder of Ascendria University, Ch. Muhammad Ali, Murad Ali & Sadia Ali establishes a framework for future academic affiliation and collaboration. The partnership aims to foster excellence in online education across key disciplines including Business, Cyber Security, AI, International Law, and Human Rights.
A cornerstone of the MoU is the establishment of a joint process for conferring honorary doctoral degrees, subject to rigorous vetting by UoL. The agreement outlines a clear pathway for Ascendria University to achieve formal affiliation following a quality audit, ensuring adherence to international academic standards. The collaboration also includes a unique witness protocol, where designated signatories will serve as custodians of the agreement’s intent.
“This MoU signifies a commitment to transnational educational excellence and the shared values of academic integrity,” stated H.E. Faisal Butt. Mr. Jamshed Hussain echoed the sentiment, highlighting the potential to expand access to quality higher education in Pakistan through innovative online models.
